We need IE3 efficiency certificates and factory test reports for import to Peru. Does the motor come with test protocol and IEC conformity certificate?
Yes, all WEG W22 IR3 Premium motors include: IE3 efficiency certificate per IEC 60034-30-1, individual factory test protocol (insulation resistance, no-load current, dielectric strength test), and IEC/ABNT conformity declaration. For export to Peru, we also provide certificate of origin and consular invoice if required.
Lead time for large orders
What is the lead time if I need 30 motors? Our project has a tight schedule and we cannot wait more than 3 weeks.
For 30 units of the W22 5HP in standard B3D configuration, we typically have sufficient stock for immediate dispatch. Lead time would be 3-5 business days for preparation and dispatch in Brazil, plus international transit time. For Chile, overland transit is approximately 7-10 days. Estimated total: 2 weeks. If you need B5 or B35 configuration, lead time may extend to 15-20 days for made-to-order production.
Can it be used with a variable frequency drive (VFD)?
We want to control the motor speed via an inverter. Is the W22 IR3 Premium compatible with variable frequency drives? Does it need any additional filters?
Yes, the WEG W22 IR3 Premium is fully compatible with variable frequency drives. The motor features reinforced Class F insulation and bearings prepared for VFD-induced parasitic currents. For switching frequencies above 5 kHz, WEG recommends installing a dV/dt filter or sinusoidal filter at the inverter output to protect the winding. We can advise you on selecting the compatible WEG CFW500 inverter.
Do you offer alignment and commissioning service?
For our project we need the motors to arrive aligned with the pumps. Do you offer coupling and commissioning service at destination?
As distributors we do not offer on-site installation service, but we can coordinate with the WEG technical assistance network in your country. WEG has authorized service centers in major Latin American countries. For orders exceeding 20 units, we can negotiate the inclusion of remote technical assistance during commissioning.
Does warranty cover mining use?
We want to use these motors in a mineral crushing plant. The environment has dust and vibration. Does the warranty cover use in severe mining conditions?
The WEG W22 IR3 Premium with IP55 protection is designed for industrial environments with dust, but for severe mining conditions we recommend the WEG W22 Mining line (reinforced frame, IP56/IP66 protection, heavy-duty bearings). The standard warranty covers use within catalog specifications, including dusty environments (IP55 allows this). However, if vibration exceeds IEC 60034-14 limits, warranty may not apply. We can quote the Mining version if you prefer.
