About
Empicolsa, legally Empaques Industriales de Colombia S.A.S., is a Colombian manufacturer of corrugated cardboard packaging founded in 1973 and headquartered in Fontibon, Bogota. The company operates two corrugating plants, one in Bogota and one in Palmira, Valle del Cauca, plus two upstream paper mills that supply the liner and medium feeding the corrugators. This vertical integration covers the full chain from recovered fiber and pulp through paper production to finished die-cut and printed corrugated boxes. Under CEO Paola Varela Arciniegas, the first woman to lead a paper-and-corrugated company in Colombia, Empicolsa has positioned itself as a B2B supplier of regular slotted containers, telescopic boxes, microflute shippers, layer pads, dividers, exhibition trays, and custom printed cartons for construction, food, pharmaceutical distribution, cosmetics, agro-export, and e-commerce buyers across Colombia and the Andean region.
