About
Pecari is a Uruguayan manufacturer of leather goods, footwear and accessories founded in 1994 by Rosario Bordes in Montevideo. The family business hand-produces handbags, purses, wallets, belts, shoes, boots and jackets using natural Uruguayan leather, sustaining artisanal processes in its Montevideo workshop. Three flagship stores in Carrasco, Punta Carretas and Punta del Este, an active e-commerce site at pecari.com.uy and exports to Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile and the United States. Recognized with the 2014 Morosoli Award for cultural contribution to Uruguayan national design. Seasonal collections rotate signature lines including Mavi, Carme, Tilo, Terra, Rocco and Zoe.
