Establecimiento Juanico S.A. is Uruguay's largest and oldest operating winery, founded in 1830 in the town of Juanico, Canelones department. Owned by the Deicas family since 1979, the winery manages over 320 hectares of estate vineyards and an additional 150 hectares through exclusive grower contracts. Juanico was the first winery in South America to achieve ISO 9001 certification. The company produces over 3 million bottles annually across three brand tiers: Don Pascual (Uruguay's best-selling domestic wine), Pueblo del Sol (value-oriented exports), and Familia Deicas (premium and icon wines). Tannat, Uruguay's signature grape variety, anchors the portfolio alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. The winery exports to more than 30 countries worldwide.
