Colanta is a Colombian agro-industrial cooperative founded in 1964 by 60 dairy farmers in Don Matias, Antioquia. Operating as Cooperativa Colanta Ltda., the company has grown into Colombia's largest dairy processor, collecting and transforming raw milk from over 10,000 associated producers across multiple departments. Colanta's product portfolio spans UHT and pasteurized milk, powdered milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, cream, arequipe, processed meats, and fruit juices. In 2024 the cooperative reported revenues of approximately COP 17.2 trillion (USD 4.13 billion), with dairy exports increasing by over 780% year-on-year. The company operates processing plants in San Pedro de los Milagros, Funza, Planeta Rica, and other locations, maintaining cold chain infrastructure from farm gate to finished product distribution across Colombia and export markets.
