Curtiembre A. Fonseca e Hijos S.R.L. is one of Argentina's leading producers of finished and semi-finished bovine leather, operating since 1954. Founded by Federico Tentler Da Fonseca as an exporter of cattle by-products to Europe, the company entered leather processing in 1982 with the acquisition of Curtiembre Alarcon in Wilde. From its 70,000 sq m industrial plant in Lanus Este, Buenos Aires province, Fonseca processes bovine hides for the automotive, footwear, leather goods, apparel, and residential upholstery sectors. The company exports to more than 20 countries across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with established commercial links to Brazil, Italy, and China. Fonseca is certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG) and has supplied upholstery leather to Natuzzi since 1985 and automotive leather under a joint venture with Eagle Ottawa since 1999.
