About
Cooperativa Capel is Chile's leading pisco producer, owned by more than 1,000 grape growers across the Atacama and Coquimbo regions. The cooperative operates multiple distillation and bottling plants, with its headquarters and main production facility located in Vicuna, in the heart of the Elqui Valley. Capel produces and markets pisco under several brands including Capel, Alto del Carmen, Campanario, and Monte Fraile, alongside sparkling wines, cocktails, and rum. The cooperative has received over 109 international awards since 2000, including recognition as Best Spirits Producer at the Catad Or World Spirits Awards for three consecutive years (2023-2025). All products carry Chile's Denomination of Origin designation for pisco, guaranteeing provenance from approved grape varieties grown in the designated valleys.
