C.A. Ron Santa Teresa is Venezuela's oldest rum producer, operating from Hacienda Santa Teresa in the Aragua valley since 1796. The company produces a portfolio of aged rums led by Santa Teresa 1796, a solera-aged super premium rum that has earned over 100 international gold medals. Additional lines include Gran Reserva, Linaje, Selecto and the Araku coffee liqueur. Presided by fifth-generation leader Alberto Vollmer, the company employs approximately 1,500 people and exports to markets across the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean. Ron Santa Teresa is also recognized for Proyecto Alcatraz, a social rehabilitation program that uses rugby to reintegrate at-risk youth into the workforce.
