Campomar y Soulas S.A. is one of the oldest and most traditional textile companies in Uruguay, with roots dating back to 1900 when the Campomar and Salvo families merged their wool manufacturing operations. Headquartered in Juan Lacaze, department of Colonia, the company built its reputation on premium wool blankets, throws and home textiles produced from Uruguayan merino wool. At its peak, Campomar employed over 1,700 workers across multiple plants and represented more than a third of Uruguay's entire textile workforce. Today the Campomar brand has been relaunched as a home textiles label offering wool blankets, polar throws, bedding and decorative accessories through retail stores and e-commerce across Uruguay and Argentina.
