Kraus is a family-owned company founded in 1894 by Francisco Kraus, an Austrian immigrant who settled in the province of Misiones. The company grows and produces certified organic yerba mate and tea in Colonia Santo Domingo Savio, San Ignacio, surrounded by the Misiones rainforest and ancient Jesuit missions. Their products hold organic certifications from the EU, USDA, SENASA, Bio-Siegel and Kosher standards, along with fair trade certification. Kraus was the first Argentine company to produce organic green tea for both domestic and export markets.
