Ternium Argentina is the country's largest integrated steel producer, operating a complete steelmaking complex in San Nicolas, Buenos Aires province. A subsidiary of Ternium S.A. within the Techint Group, the company manufactures flat steel products including hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized, and prepainted coils and sheets, as well as long steel products such as rebar and wire rod. With approximately 5,500 employees and annual production capacity exceeding 3 million tonnes, Ternium Argentina supplies the construction, automotive, energy, and general manufacturing sectors across Argentina and export markets in South America, Mexico, and the United States.

Reliable steel supply for our construction distribution
We imported 10 containers (9,000 sheets) over 6 months for distribution to construction companies in Minas Gerais. The galvanized coating quality is consistently excellent with uniform zinc coverage and no bare spots. Mill certificates match all specs. Sheet dimensions are accurate within tolerance. One container had minor edge damage on 3 bundles due to port handling, but Ternium processed the claim promptly. FOB pricing is competitive with Brazilian domestic galvanized steel.
Good quality steel, ordering process could be smoother
Ordered 500 sheets for a manufacturing project in Peru. The steel quality meets ASTM A653 specs as stated. Zinc coating adhesion passed our bend tests without flaking. Lead time was 25 days, within the quoted range. The ordering process required multiple emails to confirm specifications and payment terms. Would appreciate a more streamlined quotation system for repeat orders. Overall a solid product at fair pricing for the region.
Standard galvanized sheet, MOQ is high for our needs
Needed 100 sheets for a warehouse roofing project. The galvanized steel quality is standard for construction grade. Some sheets showed slightly uneven zinc spangle patterns, though this does not affect performance. The 50-sheet minimum order was manageable but the 30-day lead time is long when project schedules are tight. For small to medium construction projects in the Andean region, sourcing locally is often faster and similarly priced after factoring in shipping costs.
