Cementos Argos S.A. is the largest cement producer in Colombia and the fifth largest in Latin America. Founded in 1934, the company operates seven cement plants in Colombia with a combined installed capacity of 14.4 million tonnes per year. Argos also runs operations in the United States, Honduras, and several Caribbean and Central American markets. The product portfolio covers gray cement, white cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, hydrated lime, and premixed mortars. The Cartagena plant serves as a major export hub with capacity to ship up to 3.5 million tonnes annually. Argos is part of the Grupo Argos conglomerate, which also holds investments in energy and infrastructure concessions.
