Mastra Cerveceria Artesanal is the first craft brewery in Uruguay, founded in October 2007 by industrial engineer Wilfredo Camacho in Las Piedras, Canelones. The brewery produces pure malt beers with natural carbonation across a regular range (Pale Ale, Golden Ale, IPA, Double IPA, Scottish Ale, Stout, Honey, Belgian Strong, Red Ale) plus a rotating seasonal portfolio and the Flower line brewed with Uruguayan cannabis terpenes. Mastra operates its own taproom, Choperia Mastra maM, inside the Mercado Agricola de Montevideo, where it serves up to twelve varieties on tap. Distribution reaches prestigious pubs, restaurants, and hotels across the Uruguayan coast, southern Brazil, Argentina, and selected European specialty retailers.
