Banesco Banco Universal C.A. is Venezuela's largest private bank by deposits and the second-largest financial institution in the national banking system. Founded in 1992 through the acquisition of Grupo Bancentro by Banesco Financial Organization, led by Juan Carlos Escotet Rodriguez, the bank operates from its 64,000-square-meter Ciudad Banesco headquarters in Bello Monte, Caracas. Banesco serves over four million clients through a network of 197 branches, 383 ATMs, and more than 152,000 POS terminals across Venezuela. The institution provides retail banking, corporate banking, SME financing, insurance, trust management, and a full suite of digital channels including BanescoMovil, BanescOnline, PagoMovil, and the virtual assistant DANI. The bank also maintains international operations through subsidiaries in the Dominican Republic and Panama.
