Cerveceria Antares is Argentinas pioneer craft brewery, founded in 1998 in Mar del Plata by Pablo Rodriguez, Leonardo Ferrari and Mariana Rodriguez. Starting from a home brewing setup in the 1990s, the three friends opened the first Antares Brewpub on Calle Cordoba in 1998 and introduced the franchise model in 2004. The company now operates more than 60 brewpubs across Argentina and brews over 6 million liters per year at its production facility in Parque Industrial General Savio, which it expanded in 2016. The beer lineup spans soft styles like Kolsch, Playa Grande and Espiritu Lager, malt forward options like Honey Beer, Scotch and Barley Wine, hoppy styles including IPA, Caravana and an alcohol free IPA, dark styles like Porter, Imperial Stout and Cream Stout, and seasonal releases such as Fragaria, Fin de Tarde and Catalina. In 2022 Grupo Penaflor became a strategic partner, and the brewery launched its first canned format in 2021 and celebrated 25 years in 2023.
