Good valves for irrigation systems
DN50 valves for our irrigation infrastructure in Peru. The valves handle high-pressure water flow well and the stainless steel body resists corrosion in humid conditions. Some dimensional tolerances were tighter than specified but worked in our favor.
Valve specs did not match listing
Ordered DN50 valves from Maquinarias Andinas. The actual bore diameter was slightly undersized compared to what the listing stated. While the seller was responsive to our complaint, the product did not meet the advertised specifications. Had to modify our piping layout.
Good valves, some spec discrepancies
Ordered 100 DN50 valves for water treatment facility. Most performed well but 3 units had different pressure ratings than specified. Aceros resolved the issue quickly with replacements. Overall a positive experience despite the initial mix-up.
Solid valve, shipping could improve
The DN50 gate valve meets all our process control requirements. Build quality is solid and the materials are as specified. Shipping took longer than promised though -- 2 extra weeks. We had to adjust our installation schedule.
Good valve but description could be more detailed
The gate valve works well and the communication from the seller was outstanding. However, some specs in the listing did not match the datasheet exactly. Minor issue but worth noting.

Lead time for 100+ units?
We need approximately 120 DN50 gate valves for a water treatment plant project. What is the expected lead time for an order of this size? We need them delivered within 6 weeks.
For 120 units, our standard lead time is 3-4 weeks from order confirmation. We currently have 80 units in stock, so partial shipment is possible within 1 week. The remaining 40 units would ship in week 3-4. Six weeks is very achievable.

We process mildly acidic water (pH 4-5) in our plant. Is the DN50 gate valve suitable for this application? What materials are the internals made from? We had problems with corrosion on previous valves from other suppliers.
We use the standard WCB version with pH 5 water and it has held up for 18 months so far. The SS316 trim makes a big difference compared to the cheaper valves we used before. For pH 4, I would follow the seller recommendation and go full stainless.
1 found this helpfulThe DN50 gate valve body is cast carbon steel WCB with 316 stainless steel trim (stem, seat, wedge). For pH 4-5, the SS316 trim should perform well. However, for continuous acidic service we recommend upgrading to our full stainless steel model. Contact us for options.
