Seamless carbon steel pipe manufactured by Tenaris at its Tamsa facility in Veracruz, Mexico, using the Mannesmann hot-rolling process. This 4-inch (DN100) Schedule 40 pipe meets ASTM A106 Grade B, ASTM A53 Grade B, and API 5L Grade B standards, making it suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure service. Specifications: 114.3 mm (4.500") OD, 6.02 mm (0.237") wall thickness, 102.26 mm (4.026") ID, and 16.07 kg/m (10.79 lb/ft) nominal weight. Standard mill length is 6 meters (approx. 20 ft). Excellent value for export
We imported 200 lengths to Brazil for an industrial boiler project. Export documentation was flawless: MTR, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, and packing list. Everything ready for customs clearance without delays. Volume pricing is very competitive compared to local Brazilian suppliers. The pipe meets all A106 Gr. B specifications without exception.
Good product, shipping a bit slow
Pipe quality is impeccable, genuine Tenaris certification with heat-lot MTR. However, shipping took 7 days instead of the promised 3-5. Also, 2 of the 50 lengths had minor dents on the ends from insufficient protection during transport. The seller responded and offered credit on the next order. The steel itself is excellent.

We purchased 100 lengths for a petrochemical installation in Monterrey. The pipe arrived with complete MTR, dimensions are exact, and the finish is uniform. Wall thickness was verified by ultrasonic testing and meets ASTM tolerance. Delivery in 4 days from Guadalajara. Will continue purchasing.

Manufacturing defect warranty
What does the warranty cover? If we find internal defects like inclusions or laminations when cutting the lengths, what is the claims process?
Tenaris pipe has a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects including inclusions, laminations, cracks, and out-of-tolerance wall thickness. To file a claim you need: heat number (from MTR), photos of the defect, and measurements. Send us the evidence and we manage the claim directly with Tenaris. Non-conforming product is replaced at no additional cost. Typical resolution time is 15-20 business days.
Minimum order and volume discount
What is the minimum order? We need around 300 lengths for a pipeline project in Tabasco. Are there better prices for that volume?

I need pipe with per-heat MTR for a boiler project requiring full traceability. Does the certificate include tensile testing and chemical analysis?
Yes, each lot of Tenaris pipe comes with an MTR (Material Test Report) that includes: complete chemical analysis (C, Mn, P, S, Si, Cr, Mo, Ni, Cu), tensile test results (yield strength, tensile strength, elongation), and hydrostatic test results. The MTR references the steel heat for full traceability per ASTM A106.
